Christmas lights in Muskogee

After our Thanksgiving of beans and cornbread...yes that's what we had,
we headed home the next day
and enjoyed the lights at one of Muskogee's beautiful parks.

We've never done anything like this and probably wouldn't have if I hadn't been driving, Michael can be such a fun hater at times. He doesn't like crowds if he can avoid it, so alas going to Disney Land or World some day will take a lot of fast talking on my part! But the boys loved all the lights and so did I. Usually we (meaning me and the boys with out Michael) drive around some of the nearby neighborhoods to see all the pretty lights! I'm such a little kid when it comes to stuff like that!

Thanksgiving at the Lake

Well since we don't have family close enough to warrant a trip anywhere for Thanksgiving
we took advantage of the extra time off to enjoy our get-a-way place! The boys are ALWAYS
asking to go to the lake house now.

Here they are having fun jumping on the beds out on the screened in porch!

There are TONS of leaves to rake up and the boys loved playing in all the piles
We didn't even make a dent in the leaf pick up...we were told down here you
better take care of the leaves other wise you may find a snake hibernating come spring time
and with 3 little boys running around that yard we DON'T want that to happen
We only got about 1/4 of the yard raked up and burned!

Michael built a wonderful fire pit with rock benches and some pavers to go around the pit too
so we could burn those leaves but we found that it was easier to burn the piles where
they were than try and drag all the leaves across the yard.

Fall Family Foto's

I brought my camera along to get some pictures too

Michael always the clown trying to look as if he's hanging from the branch,
although around most other people he's not as "full of life"
I think he worry's too much about little stuff! Be yourself even if that means your kind of a dork, I think there's a little bit of dork in everyone!
I know I'm full of it...

Thanks Oliva Carlson for such great pictures!!
Although the boys weren't very cooperative at least not all at once.

Pumpkin patch

It was an unusually cold day in October and the boys weren't happy about taking coats off for pictures

Gabe's first pumpkin patch experience, he loved it!

Nana and Papa got to stay long enough to enjoy the pumpkin patch too,
along with a trip to Branson, MO they said it was alot of fun!

Yeah we have pumpkins now!

Papa enjoying the boys

Nana with her three favorite (hehehe) grandkids

The Andrews clan, okay so some were DONE taking pictures!
plus it was way past bed time...that's what you get after vacation,
cranky kids not use to their routine.

The animals at the resort were pleniful and awesome, it was like living at a zoo!
I forget the name of these things but they are sort of like our racoons here.
Sammy getting burried in the sand, one of many times!
Hunter...I just had too! HEHEHE
